Movies at Camelot Terms & Conditions

The Terms and Conditions below relate to Movies at Camelot and Camelot Theatre events, produced by Movies at Camelot and Perth International Jazz Festival, a not-for-profit incorporated association [ABN: 75 894 817 520]. 
 
It is important to note that Perth International Jazz Festival is not covered by these terms and conditions. 

Kindly review the Terms and Conditions thoroughly before finalising your purchase. Your agreement to these Terms and Conditions is implied upon completing the purchase. Please review them alongside our Privacy Policy. Not reading or adhering to these Terms and Conditions does not entitle the ticket holder to any refunds. 

Movies at Camelot reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions valid at the time of purchase will govern you and your tickets. Any modifications to the Terms and Conditions post-purchase will not impact your current tickets but will be applicable to future transactions. 

TICKETING TERMS 

These Terms and Conditions are in accordance with Live Performance Australia (LPA) Ticketing Code of Practice.

PURCHASE OF TICKETS 

  1. Please note that charges on your credit card statement will appear as “Perth International Jazz Festival.” 
  2. Unless mandated by law or explicitly stated otherwise in these Terms, all tickets:
    a. Are non-refundable;
    b. Are valid only for the specified Goods and/or Services they were issued for;
    c. Require full payment prior to entry for validity; 
    d. Are valid solely for the indicated date, time, and any specified conditions on the ticket or sales receipt 
  3. Ticket prices and associated fees are subject to change without prior notice, and all prices are listed in Australian dollars.
  4. Upon purchase, ‘Movies at Camelot’ may collect your personal contact details to notify you in case of event cancellations or changes. Failure to provide accurate contact information absolves ‘Movies at Camelot’ of any responsibility for failure to inform you.
  5. Ticket buyers must provide a current and easily accessible email address to receive order confirmations and tickets. Physical delivery of tickets via mail is not available. 
  6. Admission to ‘Movies at Camelot’ ticketed events or venues is contingent upon presenting a valid ticket. 
  7. A booking fee and credit card fee will apply for all tickets purchased via Megatix online. Applicable Megatix ticket fees (as of 1 February 2024) are:
    a. Booking Fee
    i) $20 and under: $ 1.50  
    ii) $20.01 – $35: $ 2.20 
    iii) $35 and over: $ 2.75
    b.
    Credit card fees are 30c + 1.3% (please note credit card fees are non-refundable)
  8. Companion card holders qualify for a complimentary ticket for their companion. In this case, after purchasing your own ticket, please contact Movies at Camelot at [email protected] to arrange for a complimentary companion ticket.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES 

  1. ‘Movies at Camelot’ complies with the LPA Ticketing Code of Practice.
  2. These Ticketing Terms apply to any Tickets you purchase or have purchased on your behalf. Your acceptance of these Ticketing Terms is a prerequisite for entry to our Sites and/or for accessing or utilizing our Goods and Services. Before buying tickets, please carefully review and agree to:
    a.

    Venue Conditions of Entry 
  1. All Ticket sales are final, except as required by Australian Consumer Law or as otherwise specified in these Terms. All tickets:
    a. are Non-refundable; 
    b. are non-exchangeable; 
    c. are non-transferable; and;
    d. are valid only for the specified date, time, and any other conditions stated on the Ticket (or order confirmation). 
  1. The ticket purchaser/holder is not entitled to a refund, exchange, transfer, or any other form of reimbursement:
    a. in cases of personal circumstances affecting you;
    b.
    in the event of a change of mind; 
    c. if entry is refused or you are removed due to a breach of these General Terms and Conditions; 
    d. for arriving late for any scheduled Ticket time; 
    e. in cases of incorrect ticket selection; 
    f. for lost, stolen, or misused tickets; 
    g. solely due to dislike or dissatisfaction with the Event, performance, venue, goods, or services; 
    h. if you did not attend. 
  1. ‘Movies at Camelot’ reserves the right to:
    a.
    add, withdraw, or vary advertised events, ticket prices, audience capacities, or seating arrangements as necessary at any time; 
    b. refuse a refund or exchange if proof of purchase is not presented, or if valid ID is not provided upon request by security at entry; 
    c. refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct is deemed disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language, or who otherwise fails to comply with ‘Movies at Camelot’s Terms and Conditions, without refund. Please refer to the Conditions of Entry. 
  1. If you wish to request a Ticket refund or exchange as per these Terms, please contact Customer Support at this link: contact us, where your request will be reviewed in accordance with the LPA Code and Australian Consumer Law.

DISCOUNTED TICKETS 

  1. ‘Movies at Camelot’ makes no guarantee that discounted tickets prices will be offered or available for all events. 
  2. ‘Movies at Camelot’ reserves the right to offer discount or promotional tickets. 
  3. Only one valid discount can be applied per transaction. 
  4. Purchases made at a higher price cannot be changed for the discounted price under any circumstances. 
  5. Where a promotional code is required to redeem a discount, this must be applied at the time of purchase. 
  6. Where concessions are applicable, suitable and valid identification must be provided for collection of tickets and at the venue. 

TICKET RESALE

  1. Tickets should only be purchased through 
    a. www.moviesatamelot.com, 
    b. megatix.com.au
  2. ‘Movies at Camelot’ reserve the right to deny entry and invalidate any ticket without refund if there is reasonable suspicion of improper use, such as fraud, scalping, resale, or unauthorised distribution. 
  3. ‘Movies at Camelot’ assumes no responsibility should an unauthorised ticket be acquired from a non-approved ticket vendor. 
  4. Complimentary tickets must not be sold or utilised by individuals other than the registered ticket holder without the explicit written consent of ‘Movies at Camelot’ for each instance. 
  5. If tickets are purchased as a gift, the recipient must adhere to these Terms and Conditions.

 

‘Movies at Camelot’ and ‘Perth International Jazz Festival’ events will continue regardless of weather conditions, unless otherwise decided by the respective organisers at their discretion. It is highly advised that attendees come prepared for any weather conditions, bearing in mind that umbrellas are not allowed during events to ensure a positive experience for all. Attendees acknowledge the possibility of the event proceeding in weather conditions they may find unfavourable. Refunds due to weather conditions will only be granted if mandated by law or as per the LPA Code. 

In case of event cancellation because of weather conditions, kindly consult our Cancellation Policy outlined below for details regarding refunds for cancelled sessions. 

CANCELLATION POLICY 

In all instances of event cancellation, the following apply: 

  1. Cancellation by ‘Movies at Camelot’ : ‘Movies at Camelot’ and ‘Perth International Jazz Festival’ reserves the right to cancel any event at its discretion. 
  2. Notification of Cancellation: In the case of a cancellation, ‘Movies at Camelot’ endeavours to promptly notify customers.
    1. Notifications will be dispatched to the ticket buyer via email. Public announcements regarding cancellations may also be disseminated on our social media channels.
    2. Last-Minute Cancellations: If a cancellation takes place within two hours of the event or during the event itself, we make every effort to reach out to customers directly as soon as possible. In the event of inclement weather where a cancellation is necessary, the organisers will make every effort to notify customers by 5pm on the day of the event. 
    3. Please provide precise contact information to ensure receipt of notifications. If contact details were not provided during the purchase, please contact us.
  3. Expenses Incurred: ‘Movies at Camelot’ holds no responsibility for any costs arising from the cancellation, such as travel, parking, lodging, etc. Please consider obtaining suitable insurance for your specific situation. 
  4. Substitute event: ‘Movies at Camelot’ is not required to organise a replacement event in the event of a cancellation. 

CANCELLATION PRIOR TO EVENT 

In the event that ‘Movies at Camelot’ is cancelled before the scheduled date, refunds will be issued for the full ticket purchase amount. 

  • If payment was made by credit card, refunds for the ticket value, and booking fee associated, will be automatically processed within 5 – 10 business days.
  • Please note the credit card fee is non-refundable. 
  • For payments made through other methods, please contact us  to coordinate an alternative refund arrangement. 

CANCELLATION OF INCOMPLETE PERFORMANCE DUE TO INTERVENING CIRCUMSTANCES 

In instances of unexpected circumstances like inclement weather, events may conclude early. 

The Venue Staff will inform patrons about the cancellation procedures. ‘Movies at Camelot’ endeavours to promptly send email notifications to patrons, detailing available solutions and the steps to accept them. 

Remedies on offer may include: 

  • Swapping tickets for another session or event within that season. 
  • Valid for ticket of equal value 
  • Subject to availability 

CANCELLED, RELOCATED OR RESCHEDULED DUE TO INTERVENING CIRCUMSTANCES 

‘Movies at Camelot’ will contact the original ticket purchaser to offer the following remedies: 

  • Refund of Purchase value.
  • If payment was by credit card, the ticket value, fees, and charges will be automatically refunded within 5 business days. 
  • For other payment methods, contact us to arrange alternative refund. 
  • An exchange to another session or event presented as part of the associated season. 
  • Valid for ticket of equal value 
  • Subject to availability 
  • Credit Note equivalent to their original purchase redeemable for the following season. 
  • Credit Notes can be for tickets purchases via moviesatcamelot.com.
  • Credit Notes expire on 30 November 2024. 
  • ‘Movies at Camelot’ may ask whether you are willing to forgo your refund and donate the price paid for the Ticket, to Movies at Camelot or the Perth International Jazz Festival.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY – ‘MOVIES AT CAMELOT’ 

No refunds or exchanges will be provided for non-compliance with the venue’s entry conditions. 

The Conditions of Entry for ‘Movies at Camelot’: 

  • must be reviewed alongside the Terms and Conditions. 
  • are contingent upon ‘Movies at Camelot’ policies and directives from the WA government, encompassing public health guidelines and social restrictions as they evolve. 
  • may differ based on the specific event, program, activity, and location. 

The Conditions of Entry for ‘Movies at Camelot,’ along with the prevailing government restrictions, are applicable to all patrons visiting a ‘Movies at Camelot’ location. 

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 

  • Parking at or near the venue may be limited and not guaranteed. It’s your responsibility to ensure ample time for arrival to avoid potential parking issues, especially during peak times. No refunds will be provided for missed events due to late arrival. 
  • By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these Terms and Conditions personally and on behalf of any accompanying minor.
  • ‘Movies at Camelot’ is a licensed venue. Attendees must be at least 18 years old (or accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult). 
  • Attendees must present valid photo identification upon entry. Failure to do so will result in entry refusal. Accepted forms of ID include a current Australian driver’s license, passport, or state-issued photo card. 
  • Minors under 18 will be admitted only if accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult. Entry refusal of minors is solely at the discretion of ‘Movies at Camelot’ and its agents. 
  • ‘Movies at Camelot’ may wristband any minor accompanied by a parent or responsible adult, to help identify minors to bar staff. 
  • Film classification supersedes standard entry requirements for minors, even when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Ratings of MA15+ means no person under the age of 15 will permitted onsite. 
  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission or service to any person or persons failing to comply with the following dress requirements: 
    • Neat casual dress is to be worn at all times. 
    • Footwear is to be worn at all times. 
  • Bring Your Own (BYO) alcohol is prohibited at all times.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT ITEMS 

  1. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms and conditions on your own behalf and on behalf of any accompanying minors. 
  2. ‘Movies at Camelot’ reserves the right to record, photograph, broadcast, or telecast the event. 
  3. ‘Movies at Camelot’ may use CCTV technology to monitor the venue for security purposes only. Copies of CCTV footage will only be provided to law enforcement. 
  4. Purchasing a ticket grants ‘Movies at Camelot’ permission to use your likeness, actions, and statements in any media without further authorisation or compensation. 
  5. ‘Movies at Camelot’ limits liability to the face value of the ticket plus relevant service charges, as permitted by law. 
  6. Entry to events may require a search of individuals and/or their belongings at the venue’s entrance. 
  7. Prohibited items such as alcohol, drugs, weapons, glass containers, and lasers are not permitted inside the venue. 
  8. Recording devices, including mobile phones, may not be used without prior written consent from ‘Movies at Camelot’. Violation of this rule may result in equipment confiscation and removal from the venue. 
  9. Admission to the event is subject to the discretion of the management of ‘Movies at Camelot’. 
  10. ‘Movies at Camelot’ reserves the right to deny admission or remove any individual, without refund, if their behaviour is disorderly, includes vulgar or abusive language, violates the venue’s Terms and Conditions, or could jeopardise the venue’s Liquor License. 
  11. No refunds will be issued if entry to an event is refused for any reason outlined in these entry conditions. 
  12. Please silence mobile phones during events out of respect for other patrons.
  13. ‘Movies at Camelot’ is not liable for any loss of enjoyment or expenses related to personal arrangements such as travel, parking, or accommodation for the event. 
  14. ‘Movies at Camelot’ is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property. 
  15. Patrons must not damage or remove any property belonging to ‘Movies at Camelot’ or the Perth International Jazz Festival. 
  16. ‘Movies at Camelot’ denies liability for any injuries sustained at the event, although reasonable measures are taken for audience safety. Patrons should seek assistance from staff or security if injured or distressed. 

REFUSAL OF ENTRY/ DISQUALIFICATION/ REMOVAL FROM PREMISES 

Without prejudice to any other rights which ‘Movies at Camelot’ may have, if you contravene any of these Terms or Conditions, you may: 

  1. be refused entry to, or removed from, the venue; 
  2. have your ticket confiscated and/ or cancelled without refund or recompense; and 
  3. be disqualified from purchasing tickets for or attending other events. 

BEHAVIOUR CODE 

Any of the following behaviour will result in the offender/offenders being asked to leave the Premises. 

  • Failure to follow any directive from any staff member of the Premises 
  • Loud or unruly behaviour 
  • Drunken or intoxicated behaviour 
  • Fighting or acting aggressively to any staff member or fellow patron 
  • Use of excessive foul language or swearing 
  • Lewd or inappropriate behaviour 
  • Any illegal act 
  • Any other act deemed by staff to be anti-social or outside the bounds of reasonable within this type of environment.  

Failure to leave the Premises when directed by Management or other staff may result in requesting Police attendance and involvement in removal of the offender/s.
